Hello,  

My name is Kenneth Fisher, founder and co-owner of Fish Bowl Sports. 

Sports have been my passion since I was young. I have played organized hockey, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, football, basketball and even participated in canoeing/kayaking. 

Of all the sports I have played hockey has always been the most predominant. I began at age 5 and continued until I was 16 at which point I decided to take a year off because I had lost a lot of joy for playing the game. 

During my time off I began working a minimum wage, part time job. With the extra time on my hands I realised even though I wasn’t playing any sports I enjoyed watching and talking about them more than I ever had before. After a couple months of really engaging myself in the sports world I wrote my first blog “X FactorsThe NBA Finals”, everyone that read it said it was amazing so the idea of creating a sports blog began to feel like a possibility.

For most of my time playing hockey I was a big card collector but during the covid shut down I stopped collecting and forgot about it. My spark for collecting cards came back not too long after my first blog while I was on a trip to Ottawa where I found an amazing card shop. I bought a couple boxes and had some good luck. I realised that I wanted to not only write blogs about sports but also collect, trade and sell sports cards. 

While on vacation, my grandfather helped me realize what I could do with this and how to begin the company. We decided to become business partners and launch fishbowlsports.ca.
